About Highland Church of Christ!
What to Expect
We recognize that it can be a little intimidating trying to find your way around a new place. We hope this will help you become familiar with our church and answer any questions you may have.
Worship at 9:30 AM
Our worship service is about 70 minutes in length. The first thing you will probably notice is that there are no instruments. We come from a rich heritage of vocal music that emphasizes simplicity, participation, and community. We sing a mix of contemporary and traditional songs that help those worshipping to rejoice and reflect. Most guests are inspired by the fusion of harmonies and the volume of hundreds of voices lifted in praise!
A weekly message from our preaching minister is shared in addition to prayer and Communion.
Communion and Giving
Every Sunday, we celebrate Jesus’ body and blood through a meal involving bread and grape juice. We call it communion, but some may call it the Lord’s Supper. The purpose of this celebration has three parts: to remind the church of the new covenant with God through the sacrifice of Jesus, to live transformed because his power is at work within us, and to remain connected to other disciples.
We also take up a weekly offering to help advance God’s Kingdom both locally and abroad. As a guest, you are not expected to make an offering. Offerings are made by our members as part of their commitment to God and the church.
Bible Classes at 10:30 AM
In-person Bible classes recently started back up. Classes are available for all ages. Please reach out to the church office at (270) 443-6206 with any questions.
We release new content each week to help you stay connected with God and our church family. You can find these resources on our YouTube channel HERE
